With the interdisciplinary exhibition Antidote Fiction, Bombyx brings together seven artists from the visual and performing arts. The works on display take note of the industrial history that has contributed to the construction of our current world. They divert it. Imagination and fiction take precedence over reality and become an antidote to the prevailing gloom. Here, fiction is a welcome catharsis in these times when collapse is looming everywhere. Health crises are compounded by geopolitical, climatic, and human crises, and we cannot ignore them. Creating with the collapse of civilizations and rebuilding with imagination. Taking stock of the situation and using art as a medium to propose possible paths forward. Encouraging dreams of a different world. And we mean different, not better, because even if the best may be yet to come, the future remains unclear.
